Frequently Asked Questions
What is training with you like?
55 minute sessions, with frequent dialogue between us to determine the appropriate weights. Workouts are a collaboration with you in the driver’s seat. We will have frequent check ins between sets to take note of form and find cues that work for you. We will structure an individualized program around your needs and goals, and will check in at the start of sessions together to assess progress and determine if any changes are needed.
Finally, my number one goal is accessibility. Creating a welcoming, helpful atmosphere is critical to that goal, so that’s always at the front of my mind during sessions. This isn’t bootcamp!
Do I need to join a gym?
No! Though it is recommended (and I can provide ideas and options). Sessions can be done with me in a nearby public place, park, beach, etc. Bodyweight sessions are excellent because of minimal need for equipment, and something I highly encourage for people needing a low commitment option to start working out.
I've never enjoyed working out. Should I try with you?
I’d love it if you gave it a shot! I keep my first session cheap so people can try it out and decide if they like it. I really believe that bringing a positive attitude and providing accessibility will improve your experience. My goal is to put you in the driver's seat and help you feel confidence in implementing your own fitness.
I like working out but I'm feeling stagnant. Can you help?
Yes! Whether you’re having trouble making progress or just feeling bored with the same old routine, adding a coach to your team can be a big help. A fresh set of eyes can add back the fire that’s missing. I can show you new exercising and training ideas and especially show you how training is organized long-term to make distant goals achievable.
I have a disability/mobility issues/neurodivergence that affect my physical limits. Can you help?
Yes! Strength training is wonderful in its adaptiveness, and a core aspiration of my training philosophy is providing accessibility to people who crave the joy of lifting but are being held back. Fitness has been invaluable to me but has been harder to reach than it should have been; success for me means making it easier for others to join in.
